MANISTEE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

The Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce works to build a dynamic and sustainable organization to serve the Business, Workforce and Economic Development needs of all in Manistee County. They have been an important advocate of housing solutions and an active partners in engaging developers, funding agencies and community organizations. They've hosted Developers day and with Project Rising Tide participated in the launch of a Young Professionals Housing Survey to increase awareness on the importance of housing for all Manistee County.

GROUNDWORK CENTER FOR RESILIENT COMMUNITIES

CITY OF MANISTEE

Groundwork Center for Resilient Communities works with citizens and partner organizations  to build a thriving local farm and food economy; to develop local, clean energy; and to make our towns and villages stronger, more walk-able, bike-able, and transit-friendly and with more affordable housing options. They seek to achieve on-the-ground results in northwest Michigan that will strengthen the local economy, protect the environment, and build community.

 

The City of Manistee has been an active partner and supporter of housing solutions for their community. Not only are they a Redevelopment Ready certified community, they were also part of Project Rising Tide. Through this effort, the City of Manistee collaborated with Housing North to adopt a Housing action plan,  support zoning changes and its exploring how to fill the capacity gap for housing. The City of Manistee adopted a resolution to endorse Homes for our Future that can be found here. 

 

AREA AGENCY ON AGING OF NORTHWEST MICHIGAN (AAANM)

The Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Michigan (AAANM) is the place to turn when you need assistance with the complex issues facing older adults and their caregivers. They  can connect you to a variety of resources that will help those you care for live as independently as possible in a community setting. Click here to learn more about AAANM! 

 

CHARLEVOIX AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE 

The Charlevoix Area Chamber of Commerce works to support commerce and provide leadership to enhance the quality of life in the Charlevoix area. ECHO HIS LOVE

ECHO his love works to  mobilize area churches to transform lives by meeting physical and spiritual needs. They are a strong advocate for housing solutions across our region and manage Safe Harbor, a program began that provides meals and shelter to individuals and families at sanctuary sites during the coldest times of year. LEELANAU CHRISTIAN NEIGHBORS

The Mission of the Leelanau Christian Neighbors (LCN) is to serve residents of Leelanau County by aiding those with inadequate resources. They have five key programs they offer to the community: The food pantry, Neighborhood Assistance Ministry, Blessings in a backpack, Baby pantry and the Samaritan's closet. All of these are created to support community members in need. The LCN it's also a strong advocate of housing solutions and opportunities for all citizens, they have expressed their support endorsing the campaign. MANISTEE COUNTY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

The Manistee County Community Foundation (MCCF) is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in the Manistee County region – today and in the future.  Established in 1987, the foundation provides leadership to achieve community change, makes grants that address local needs, and builds community endowment. The Manistee County Community Foundation has been heavily involved in all community efforts that support housing and opportunities for all and has been an active advocate of Housing North's activities in the region.
